TErms And Conditions
Students
1. To enrol at Day One Education, a student must:
· be a student from a secondary school that is recognised by NESA at the time of enrolment
· be undertaking the subject at school at the prescribed year level
· agree to Day One Education's Term and Conditions
· understand that they are entering into a contract under these T&Cs
· be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian
Fees
1. Once we accept an offer of enrolment at Day One Education, we are committed to one full term for every course in which the student is enrolled, and the respective fees are immediately and fully payable.
2. Unless we notify Day One Education by the end of the current term to terminate enrolment we will be automatically enrolled into the next term for the same course(s) at the end of the current term (For example students enrolled into Year 8 Maths term 1 will be enrolled in Year 8 Maths term 2).
3. Unless we notify Day One Education at least 7 days before the start of the first class, enrolment will be confirmed and the respective fees are immediately and fully payable on the next scheduled direct debit date.
4. Day One Education may suspend or terminate the enrolment of the student whose fees are in arrears.
5. If a payment or invoice has been incorrectly initiated or if there is a discrepancy in the payment amount, we must contact Day One Education immediately to notify the problem.
6. All late payments will incur a $40 late payment fee for each invoice.
7. Day One Education is not liable to any travel, accommodation or any other expenses incurred to attend any regular or postponed classes.
Class Absences/ Postponements
1. Day One Education is not obliged to schedule a replacement class for an absent student.
2. No credit or refund, either in whole or in part, will be provided if the student is absent due to any reason such as illness, holiday, enrolment suspension or termination.
3. If a lesson is postponed by Day One Education due to an event (tutor’s illness, natural disaster, power outage, pandemic etc) the lesson will be rescheduled or postponed to a later date where possible, or if rescheduling or postponing is not possible a credit will be awarded to the student’s account.
Trial Classes
1. At the discretion of Day One Education, new students or Day One Education students may be eligible to a trial class arrangement.
2. If we do not wish to continue with a course enrolment at Day One Education following the trial, we must immediately return any Day One Education resources as requested.
3. Trial classes are only eligible to new students or current students who have not enrolled in the prospective subject at Day One Education.
Intellectual Property
1. All Day One Education materials, resources, information and branding are subject to copyright laws under the Australian law.
2. We will not reproduce, copy modify, republish, reverse engineer, distribute or disseminate any Day One Education material or resources except in accordance with the law or Day One Education’s written consent.
